2020 U. S. Post Office Rate Change

In the proposed USPS 2020 rate case, there are no price increases to First-Class Mail Letters and Flats (up to 1 oz.) and no change to postcards.  Overall, Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express will increase by 4.1% and 3.5% respectively, but those increases vary by Retail/Commercial, zone, and weight.  Below, we’ve shared a link to the U. S. Postal Service site showing the proposed 2020 USPS rate increase highlights for letters and packages.

Save Money with Postage Metered Mail

There is no increase in First-Class Mail Letters (1 oz.). Stamps will remain at $0.55, and you will continue to automatically save 5¢ on every letter with the Metered Mail rate. The additional ounce cost also will not change and remains at $0.15. The proposed rate for First-Class Mail Flats/Large Envelopes also remains at $1.00 (1 oz.). The additional ounce cost for First-Class Mail Flats increases from $0.15 to $0.20. Postcards also are not increasing and will continue to be $0.35 in 2020.
